[related]It will be Newcastle upon tears today, (Tuesday 28th October) as Geordie Shore fans across the nation discover that Queen V is giving up her crown for good.

The undisputed matriarch of the Geordie Shore house has confirmed that season nine will be her last.

"I’ve moved on," she said, explaining: "I’m pleased they’re still enjoying themselves [the Geordies], but it just didn’t work anymore, not for me.”

After four years of flirting, fighting and feisty behaviour, the fiery lass, who is known for her unparalleled wit and banter, hinted that she might finally be tired of hitting the Toon and getting mortal, adding:

“It was just the right time for me. The show has been going for a long time, and I’ve been fortunate to be part of it from the start, but it’s changed. Everything that everyone else is happy with doing and still enjoys, I just don’t."

She continued: “I’m in a completely different place. I don’t feel angry about it, or upset - I’m pleased I’ve moved on, and I’m pleased they’re all still enjoying themselves, but it just didn’t work anymore.”

"I know a lot of the people in the house are gonna be content to be 40-years-old and still downing Jaeger bombs and bucking birds, but for me, that was never an option."

Vicky's shock announcement comes as MTV confirm plans to film a 10th series. But we'll have to wait until next year to find out how the rest of the Geordies cope without her…
