Spyro is flying across America. Literally. IRL.

The Spyro-flavoured drone - complete with fire-breathing abilities - is en-route from New York City to Los Angeles to "personally" deliver a copy of Spyro Reignited Trilogy to Snoop Dogg.

We didn't realise the celeb pair were so close, but it seems the pair become BFFs after Snoop retweeted Spyro's "I'm back" teaser, adding: "Yooo my lil neffew @SpyroTheDragon lookin straight !! Bring me that new Spyro Reignited Trilogy!" Since then, they've been in regular contact on social media.

It hasn't been all business for Spyro. Along the way, he's stopped to wreck vengance on a Toasty-lookalike, became bashful that someone got a tattoo of him, and partook in a little drag racing over Spooky Swamp (winning the race, of course).

"This joker pulls up revving his fan. Had to put him in his place," Spyro said after showing off his dragrace win on Twitter.

Snoop isn't super happy with the diversions, though, suggesting the honeymoon period may soon be over for this special couple. "Stop playin homie and bring me the game," he tweeted recently when Spyro mentioned he'd stopped to chase some sheep...

Spyro Reignited Trilogy is out on November 13, 2018, on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
