Zayn Malik has quitthe One Direction tour after being signed off 'with stress'.

In a statement from the boys' PR on Twitter, it was revealed: "1D statement: Zayn has been signed off with stress and is flying back to the UK to recuperate. The band wish him well and will continue with their performances in Manila and Jakarta."

The news comes after the 22-year-old responded to accusations he had cheated on his fiancé Perrie Edwards,reassuring fans: "I love a girl named Perrie Edwards."

The rumours first started flying when a picture of what looked like Zayn and a girl who wasn't Perrie holding hands emerged online, sparking a frenzy among Directioners.

This was then followed by another pic of the two enjoying a cuddle with his arms wrapped around her.

Zayn and the boys are currently on tour in Australia and Asia, having performed in Bangkok, Thailand over the weekend.
