This Makeup Review Went Viral After Liquid Eyeliner Stays Perfect In A Car Accident

Kat Von D's Tattoo Liner can withstand anything.

If there is one element of our makeup we seriously need to stay put it's our liquid liner, nobody wants to look in the mirror to see a panda-esque smudge where a perfect feline flick used to be.

However, while you would expect a decent eyeliner to stay put throughout a working day or a night out on the town, you would probably forgive it if it didn't last through something as traumatizing as a car accident.

Take a look at Kim Kardashian's, Margot Robbie's and a bunch of weird and wonderful celeb beauty hacks you need in your life...

Regardless, it looks like Kat Von D's Tattoo Liner can literally withstand anything, something car crash survivor Shelby Pagan can confirm.

The 25-year-old nurse was involved in an accident last June, and at the time took to Instagram to upload a selfie from her hospital bed.

There was more than a few tell-tale signs Shelby had been involved in a serious accident, the neck-brace, the cuts to her forehead and the smeared mascara beneath her eyes, for starters.

But one thing that wasn't giving away so much as a hintof trauma was her immaculate winged liner. Seriously, we're struggling to think of a time our flicks have ever looked that fresh.

Shelby's experience has since inspired her to write a five-star review on Kat Von D's eyeliner, sharing the same selfie she wrote: "My mascara was running down my face from crying and all other products had been wiped off in the transfer to the hospital. But not my tattoo eyeliner."

"I am posting a pick [sic] to show you, this product lasts and looks amazing through anything. Never buying any other liner again."

The review soon went viral after a student from the University of Florida, Lahari Machikanti, screenshotted it and posted it to Twitter with the caption: "Y’all I was really out here looking for a new eyeliner and look at this review lmfaooo She deadass took a picture in her neck brace I am deceased [sic]."

Once Shelby found the tweet she wrote back: "Lololol it’s me, girl, when you find a good product, you have to share the info," but she felt compelled to defend her selfie-taking decision in another tweet, writing: "Everyone’s hating on my review because I posted a picture of the makeup after the accident: 1. I took the photo for police evidence 2. But have you ever seen such a good eyeliner?! ....you’re welcome."

Speaking to 'Teen Vogue', Shelby thanked Kat Von D directly for the godsend of an eyeliner, telling them: "Honestly, I would thank her for making a quality make up line that doesn’t test on animals. I switched over three or so years ago to cruelty-free make up and Kat Von D has been a staple of mine since. It’s nice to have a product that is ethical AND works."
