Sophie Kasaei Opens Up About Joel Corry Split And It's Absolutely Brutal
Geordie Shore lass Sophie Kasaei has remained pretty tight-lipped about her split from Joel Corry up until now, but she's just revealed exactly what went down.
Speaking to New! magazine, the babe opened up about the breakup and said that her boyfriend of six-years ended things with her over the phone in September.
Take a look at the video to see Sophie Kasaei get showered with love this Christmas in Geordie Shore Girls Present: Geordie Actually...
"He was like 'I don't know what it is, Soph, but I just don't think it's going to work,'" said the lass.
Soph's immediate thought was that there may be another girl, but Joel swore there was no oneelse involved.
"He said there wasn't, but went 'I just don't think that me and you will have a future because it's just not what I want and I know you do. You want to settle down, and it's understandable, but it's just not for me and it's not what I want." she revealed.
Despite their six-yearrelationship, It seems that Joel just isn't ready to settle down, as Sophie admitted: "I'm 28 and I do want to find happiness - and I did think it would be with Joel - but the fact of the matter is, he's just not ready."
Soph says she isn't angry that he ended things over the phone as at the time he was in Essex while she was in Newcastle, but after relocating toEssex for him she's now packing up and headed back to the toon for good.
After the breakup, Joel blocked Sophie's number to make things easier: "He was like 'I've got to block you, because contact is going to be harder."
Soph didn't exactly agree with his decision to cut off all contact, so she resorted to emailing him for answers: "The next day he rang us. He was upset on the phone, so I told him to ring me back in a couple of days, then I never got a phone call back."
"I emailed him again and said, 'I'm finding it really hard. I just understand know how you were in Geordie Shore a few weeks ago, telling us how much you loved me, then two weeks later you're on the phone ending our six-year relationship."
The lass said Joel then sentone last email, telling her: "I know it's hard, but it's for the best. I know deep down you didn't ever want to be with us."
"I know Joel loved us so much, but I think it probably became more of a routine. I always knew things weren't right because we never used to spend much time together," added Soph.
While most people that have just come out of a six-year relationship would understandably be feeling a fair bit of heartbreak, it seems Soph is actually doing just fine.
"I'm not heartbroken. We were always arguing about the house and stuff, deep down, maybe he's done us a favour."
In fact, Soph feels over him already: "I feel bad because why would I be over my boyfriend of six years? But I just really feel strong about it. I haven't really cried.
It seems the radgie has turned a new leaf and has already jumped back into the dating game and, unsurprisingly, there's been no shortage of people sliding into her DM's.
"I've been texting people and Ijust don't really know how to behave. I don't want to play those games where you're waiting for boys to text you back. If you're not going to text us back then they can f*ck off!"
Amen to that! We're so happy to hearour lass is doing better than ever after her breakup, onwards and upwards.
Now watch Sophie and her Geordie gal pals recreate one of the most iconic scenes from Love Actually, it would be rude not to...
