We all have our problems at home but for some they're just out of this world. Literally. Case in point: Mr Ed Sheeran, who's told us he's got a haunted cottage. Legit.

In 'MTV Asks Ed Sheeran', hosted by Jack Saunders, which premieres Monday at 6pm on MTV Music, the 'Shape Of You' superstar revealed in our random round of questions sent in by you guys, that he'd had a paranormal experience.

"Yeah I have a ghost that lives in my cottage. It's a little girl and she lives on the top floor and no one will stay in that room anymore. People who clean the house now refuse to clean it. People that have stayed in the room have seen her, she's definitely in there.

On whether he thinks it's potentially a bad spirit he said:"I don't think there's anything wrong with her, but basically it's this 16th century cottage and there's a room at the top where they put ill people to die and there's a trap door underneath it and they would lower it down to the ground floor. And the top room, which is now a bedroom, the girl that cleans it will not clean it alone anymore and I've had about three or four people that have stayed in there that have seen the little girl.

"Legitimately there's a ghost in there and people who never, ever, 'ever' would have ever said they would have believed in ghosts are like 'nah, that's messed up'."

Messed. Up.
