You know when One Direction went on their hiatus, andit was totally fine because they promised they'd be back one day?

Well that might not be so true anymore, and we really don'tknow WHAT to think.

Simon Cowell, the guy responsible for putting them together in the first place, has revealed that he's not so sure if it's actually more of a foreverkind of thing.

"I don’t know if it’s a hiatus or a break-up, to be honest," he told Billboard.

"In a weird way, I don’t want to know. I don’t think they've had enough time to experience what it’s like not being in the group to really answer that."

Okay, so there's still hope.

In the same interview, the music mogul also opened up about what Harry, Niall, Louis and Liam were like when they were mere foetuses.

"They were like five puppies - really excited, loads of opinions, always wanted to hang out," he said.

While as for all those rumours that Harry's ready to go solo, Simon didn't confirm or deny.

"He’ll work out what kind of record he wants to make because he’s got great taste - which is always a help.

"All the writers and producers want to work with him, understandably, but he probably won’t rush into it."
