Meghan Trainor Is All About That Country Duet

Chart star duets with Miranda Lambert at Country Music Awards...

Here at MTV we know that a good song is a good song, full stop.

And Meghan Trainor has proved our point by teaming up with country music star Miranda Lambert for an unusual version of her current hit All About That Bass.

The duo took to the stage together at the Country Music Awards in Nashville, teaming up for a twanging version of Trainor's recent No 1 single.

Lambert, 30, was the big winner on country music's biggest night - taking home four awards, including female vocalist of the year for the fifth year running.

She said: "I don't know what to say. I can't believe I'm standing here. I can't believe this is my life.

"Damn it! I cry every time."

Taylor Swift was conspicuous by her absence this year, having dropped country for a pop sound on new album 1989.

But she found herself the butt of a joke song from hosts Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley - who sang about PPTSD or "Postpartum Taylor Swift Disorder".

They even quipped that President Obama's lack of action on T-Swizzle's career change was the reason his party "lost the senate".
