Vicky Pattison 'Heartbroken' After Death Of Best Friend Paul Burns As Geordie Shore Stars Pay Tribute

The Geordie Shore star celebrated his birthday with him the night before his death.

Vicky Pattison took to Instagram this afternoon with an emotional tribute for her friend, Paul Burns, who died suddenly at the age of 37 on Saturday.

Paul was the manager at bar 'The Botanist' in Newcastle, and Charlotte Crosby and Marnie Simpson have also expressed their shock and sadness at his passing.

Vicky wrote:"I don’t know what to post. I don’t know what to say. But this seemed fitting. @mrpaulburns1 you are my best friend, my oldest friend and one of the most amazing people in the world.

"My heart is broken. I know I will never get over losing you and this still doesn’t feel real- I’m desperately just waiting for the moment I wake up from this nightmare," she added.

She continued: "The only solace I can take from this is that I spent your lastnight with you and all of our best friends and you knew how much we loved you. How important you were to us and how you kept us together as a group."

"I never met a more selfless person. Some of the best moments of my life I shared with you and the lasses. I do not want to accept that you won’t be at my wedding. The world will forever be less bright without you in it. But I suppose you were just too special. You were too good for us Paul and I hope they look after you in heaven. Show them how it’s done boot off burns," concluded her emotional message.

Vicky celebrated Paul's 37th birthday with him on Friday night, taking to Instagram to share a picture of his cake.

Charlottealso took the social platform following the news of Paul's death, sharing that it "doesn't feel real."

"I am so so so happy to be able to of shared some amazing memories with you 💕 that I will never ever forget. Without you Newcastle has lost its sparkle. My thoughts are with All of Paul’s family and best friends 💔😞," she wrote.

Marnie wrote: "You will be so missed... RIP @mrpaulburns1 I still can't believe it, you will never be forgotten."

Geordie Shore stars pay tribute to Paul Burns

Paul's death was announced in a statement on The Botanist's facebook page.

It read: "It is with extreme and heartfelt sadness that we say goodbye today to one of our very own.. the one and only Mr Paul Burns.Paul genuinely touched the hearts of everyone he worked with and loved, and his huge personality and infectious smile will live on all of us forever. The city has lost a true gent, one that will never be replaced."
