Sassi Simmonds and boyfriend Darren Quirk had a tough time during the last series of Teen Mom UK, with the pair – who are parents to daughter Zena’ya – splitting after a number of rows.

Ahead of the brand new series, though, Sassi has revealed that things are now much better between the couple, and that she’s just excited for the future.

We’re so happy to hear this, Sassi!

In an exclusive chat with MTV, Sassi explains that “a lot has changed” in her life since we last saw her on our TV screens, saying: “I’ve been here, there, everywhere.

“My life has just been an emotional rollercoaster but we’re on a steady path now and I’m actually really excited for the future.”

The 19-year-old goes on to reveal that another big change is that her relationship with Darren has gone from strength-to-strength, and they’re now in a great place.

She says: “So since last series, me and Darren was – I don’t know how to explain it – in a rocky stage. We wasn’t together, but we were trying to get back together, but then we didn’t want to get back together (sic).

“He was stupid, I’m forgiving, we moved on and now we’re in a really, really happy place.”

This is exciting!

Not only have Sassi and Darren got things back on track after the last series, but the lovely mum has also moved into a new home – something which she credits as a “major key” in improving her “family life and happiness” - and got a new job.

She tells MTV: “(A) Personal achievement since series 3 is definitely getting a full-time job. I never thought I actually had it in meto graft as hard as I do, but I’m proud of myself for that.”

And daughter Zena’ya has been doing some growing up of her own too, with Sassi explaining that the one-and-a-half-year-old can now “talk, run, say mummy, no, yeah, bye, wave.”
