She’s previously shared her good, bad and ugly Habits with us, and now Scandi babe Tove Lo has given MTV UK the exclusive on her new video for single Not On Drugs. Having previously written for the likes of Cher Lloyd and Girls Aloud, Tove’s own tunes are fast becoming some of our favourites, and cut with its kaleidoscopic visuals Not On Drugs is one that will whirl around in your head all summer long.

MTV UK: Hi Tove, how's your summer been? Tell us three of the craziest things that have happened to you so far…

Tove Lo: My summer has been great so far. A lot of traveling, a lot of gigs and I’ve been finishing my album, which has been amazing. I’m not sure what the three craziest things are that have happened yet, but I think they’re about to come, because I’m going to Ibiza next week which is going to be crazy.

MTV UK: What's been your favouritedance floormoment this summer?

Tove Lo: There have been a lot of great dance floor moments this summer, but my favorite one was when we were in San Francisco and we had just played a show at Pop Scene. We didn’t know what to do after, but this awesome guy took us to a club called Void, which was basically just a dirty basement with great music. The band and I just danced all night, didn’t stop for a second. It was awesome.

MTV UK: Tell us about Not On Drugs… How do you think is the best way to listen to it?

Tove Lo: Not On Drugs is - like many of my songs so far - about love. At least it’s about the happy kind of love where you feel like there’s nothing that can get you higher than the person you’re with and have these feelings for.I guess the best way to listen to it is when you’re in that state of mind; I think if you’re heartbroken it might be a bit hard to relate to it. So if you’ve just met someone you love you should listen to it then… On repeat!

MTV UK: What's your favourite song to dance to at 4am?

Tove Lo: I have a new favourite that everyone who likes to dance all night should listen to. It’s WDL’s Legotrap, and it’s awesome.

MTV UK: Have you ever made a best friend for one night and then never seen them again?

Tove Lo: Yeah, a few times I’ve made a friend for the night and never seen them again. I think that can be the most honest or fun relationship sometimes, because there are no walls or expectations.

MTV UK: What does the rest of the summer hold for you?

Tove Lo: The rest of the summer is going to be pretty intense.I’m heading to the UK this week, then Spain to play a party, then some festival shows in Sweden, then back to the States. All fun, all exciting!
