Ex On The Beach star Stephen Bear has taken to Twitter to announce that he and former Geordie Shore lass Charlotte Crosby have parted ways.

Bear, who is currently away in Las Vegas, wrote: "Sadly me and Charlotte have split up. We have had a good run but we wasn't right for each other."

However, it seems Charlotte wasn't aware of the breakup until she read the tweet herself, with a source telling The Sun: "Charlotte literally had no idea Stephen thought their relationship was in a bad way."

During an interview on Irish television earlier this week, Charlotte did admit that she has been having a bit of a tough time recently due to strain on her relationship.

"I've gotten so many nice messages over the past couple of days," Charlotte admitted to Ireland AM.

She added: "Me and Stephen have had some hard times lately as well. I can't even describe how grateful I am for all the support."

Despite the hard times, Charlotte said that the couple were 'solid' and said: "We are better now, we went through a bit of a tough week last week, but we are so much better, thank god."

Charlotte has not made any comment on the breakup at this point.
