The Disney Princesses Have Been Re-Imagined Yet Again But This Time It’s For All The Right Reasons
Ever wondered what it would look like if your fave Disney princesses visited the gynaecologist? Of course you have, we all have, that’s a totally normal thing to wonder…
Well wonder no more, because it’s happened and it’s actually for a really great reason. To promote cervical cancer awareness Mulan, Tiana, Cinderella, Belle, Jasmine and even Aladdin have headed down to their local gynos to get HPV vaccinations, Pap tests, and cervical exams to help prevent cervical cancer (okayso Aladdin didn't get those things, he was just there for moral support).
Created by sex-ed speaker Danielle Sepulveres and drawn by Maritza Lugo the drawings were made after Sepulveres found herself struggling to get people to pay attention to Cervical Cancer Awareness Week.
This prompted her to re-imagine the princesses in pretty much the only situation they haven’t been seen in yet saying, “I want women to know that even though they don’t have a celebrity ambassador, they don’t need to be embarrassed and they don’t need to feel ashamed.”
Taking the steps seen by the princessescan reduce the risk of cervical cancer to almost zero so check out the pictures and get inspired to take care of your body like the beautiful princesses you all are!
