VMAs: Beyonce Invites Taylor On Stage
The Video of the Year winner makes up for Kanye’s invasion…
Beyoncé has made amends for Kanye West’s stage invasion at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards by inviting Taylor Swift to join her on stage.
After picking up the prestigious Video of the Year gong, Beyonce summoned Taylor from backstage and invited her to have a second opportunity at giving her acceptance speech – having had her first one ruined by Kanye crashing the stage.
Both wearing bright red dresses, Beyonce and Taylor had a nice hug before Taylor had another go at her thank-yous.
"Maybe we can try this again," Swift said, drawing a laugh, before thanking her people, her fans and her little brother’s high school for letting her shoot her video there.
Strangely, there were no thank-yous for Kanye West at any point during the ceremony.
