9 Celebs Who Didn’t Do Go To Uni And Are Doing Just Fine

You could create a trillion dollar company and you don't need uni to do it.

So, everyone in your life is headed off to university and you’re wondering if you made a mistake not going? But fear not, if you don’t think it’s for you then don’t force it and then end up flunking out telling yourself ‘I told you so.’

Plenty of celebs felt the same way and went onto achieve some mega success.From reality stars to software founders, these celebs didn’t ride that further education train and ended up just fine.

But first, can real adults pass a GCSE?

The singer actually dropped out of high school when she was just 15 in hopes of becoming a star. She’s admitted that she wishes she’d stayed in school but she’s one of the biggest singers in the world, having had five number one hits and is worth a mega $280m. Could be worse, huh?

Just like Katy, Bey dropped out of school when she was 15 to take Destiny’s Child on the road full time. She has since become one of the world’s most successful artists of all time and made a crossover into films with mega success. She's thought to be worth $355m and became a billion dollar couple with her husband JayZ.

The Crazy Stupid Love actress attended Catholic school and home schooling before deciding she wanted to pursue acting instead of going to university. She persuaded her mum to move to LA when she was 15 to pursue her dream and achieved mega success through hard work and talent.

The world’s most famous reality star chose not to go to college after she finished high school in 1998. Instead she started her own business, organising people’s wardrobes and selling their unwanted items on eBay. After that came the infamous sex tape and the rest is history.

But she has revealed that she might consider it in the future telling Wonderland: “If things slow down and I had time, I really want to go to law school — just something I can do in my older age."

5. Anna Wintour

When Anna was 16 she enrolled in a training program at Harrods before taking fashion classes at a nearby school after her parents urged her to. She quit the classes pretty quickly telling them: “You either know fashion, or you don’t.”

From there she became an editorial assistant at Harper’s Bazaar before going on to be promoted to junior fashion editor. After stints at Harper's Bazaarand New York, she finally became Editor of Vogue, and later, the artistic director of the whole of Condé Nast.

6. Steve Jobs

While the founder of Apple enrolled in Reed College, he dropped out after just one semesterin 1972, to focus on studying Zen Buddhism in India.

In 1976, Jobs and Steve Wozniak co-founded Apple, which went on to become the world’s most successful software company being valued at one trillion dollars. Yes, trillion.

7. Kendall Jenner

It’s been reported that she is the highest paid models in the world, dethroning Gisele Bündchen in 2018, and when Vogue asked her if she wanted to go to university she replied: "You talk to people and they say the reason they went to college was to get a job, but I already have a job, so..."

Kendall is now said to be worth $22million. Soyeah, kinda see her point.

8. Lady Gaga

The popstar actually attended New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, but dropped out after just a year to focus fully on her music career.

A couple years later, at the age of 20, she was signed to Interscope records and went on to achieve four number one albums.

He might not be a major celeb to you but he created this little thing you might know called Tumblr. He dropped out of school at 14 and had no intention of going to university after his mother encouraged him to focus on computers. He’s now worth $200m and Tumblr has been valued at $800m. Woah.
