Lana Del Rey Cancels All European Dates Due To Ill Health
Lana Del Rey has cancelled all future European dates, including an appearance on Radio 1's Lounge, due to ill health.
Having already cancelled two private concerts for Virgin Radio listeners in Paris just a few days ago, Lana has been forced to do the same again due to an illness.
“For medical reasons independent of our will, the artist has been forced to cancel all promotional activities planned in Europe over the coming days,” the Polydor/Universal Music label said in a statement.
Despite her cancellation, Radio 1 are hoping to reschedule her highly-anticipated performance later this year.
Though Virgin Radio are allegedly planning a boycott of the singer after letting them down, saying in a statement it "disapproves of this total lack of respect for the fans and is removing Lana Del Rey from its playlist."
Lana's not posted anything on social media for over six weeks, though has appeared in a recentpic on James Franco's Instagram account of them together.
Though just because Lana isn't performing any time soon, doesn't mean we won't be hearing her music, as Brighton rockers Royal Blood recently took on her West Coast track during an appearance on German radio station 3FM.
The duo, who were recently nominated for this year's Mercury Prize for their self-titled debut album, gave the song an added touch of grime and grit as they did the hit track justice.
Royal Blood, comprised of drummer Ben Thatcher and frontman Mike Kerr, kick off their UK tour next month.
