Lorde: "I Get Paralyzingly Nervous"
Lordehas revealed she gets incredibly “nervous” to the point she almost can’t move.
The teen singing sensation, who had a number one smash hit across the globe with her debut single Royals, confessed to Rolling Stone: "I get paralyzingly nervous a lot of times.”
Her response to that nervousness, she explained, is “bravado," a reference to Kanye West’s song Dark Fantasy, in which he sings, “Me found bravery in my bravado.”
"The way I dress and carry myself, a lot of people find it intimidating.,” the sixteen-year old continued, adding that she began creating art at the tender age of two.
She was also still a toddler when she first started ignoring adults who tried to influence her work. “I think my whole career can be boiled down to the one word I always say in meetings: strength," she said.
In the interview, which hits newsstands on Friday, Lorde also revealed she regularly texts newfound bestie Taylor Swift (proving they’ve definitely buried the hatchet over that mini-feud) and opens up about her boyfriend, James Lowe.
