Geordie Shore's Charlotte Crosby On Raising Awareness Of Ectopic Pregnancies: 'I Didn't Realise The Enormity Of It Until Now'
After suffering from an ectopic pregnancy just three months ago, Charlotte Crosby can't believe how many women she has already helped by going public with such a difficult time in her life.
In fact, she has since been asked to become a patron for the Ectopic Pregnancy Trust, who saw a huge spike in traffic to their website after the Geordie Shore star opened up about her own experience.
"I was over the moon to be asked. All I kept thinking was how grateful I felt," Char recently told Heat mag.
"I never imagined how much it was going to help people. They told me they had so many calls just from women reading my interview in heat, who had thought, 'Shit, that's happening to me.'"
The support is still coming in for Charlotte, who just wasn't expecting such a reaction.
"There were 40,000 comments on my Facebook alone, from women sharing their stories and sending me support," she said.
Adding: "I just couldn't believe it. I had emails and messages saying how much I'd helped people, but I didn't know the enormity of it until now."
"People didn't realise how serious it is. We need to make everyone aware of the signs and symptoms, so people know what to look out for.
"It's mad when you think out of something so awful, I've done something important."
Char, we couldn't be more proud of you.
