If you're as big of a Riverdale fan as we are, then you'll know that Lili Reinhart is the official 'daddy' of the show, but it seems that her bae Cole Sprouse wants in on the parentsituation.

There was no way Cole was going to steal Lili'stitle (which is something we'll explain moreabout later), so he's accepted his destiny to become a doting mum alongside his lady.

The revelation came about in a playful Twitter argument between the pair, with Cole kicking things off with a tweet: "I can't wait to be a mommy someday."

Lili was clearly excited that she isn't destined for a life of single parenthood, with Cole finally ready to accept his mum duties: "You've admitted defeat," she wrote back.

Cole wasn't about to take that lying down, and after leaving her hanging for a bit he tweeted back: "Sorry I didn’t reply quicker, your notification got a little lost down the feed," alongside a screenshot of his 8.7 million followers compared with her 1.7 million.

Hey, you can have all the followers under the sun, but you're still not daddy.

So what exactly isthis daddy business all about? Fortunately, a Riverdale stan named Rhiannon explained in a neat summary.

"Everyone calls Lilli daddy (i believe that started when she mentioned Camillas affinity for the word) and therefore since Lilli is daddy Cole can't have that title so he get mommy 😂Lillis saying hes admitted defeat by accepting it [sic]," wrote Rhiannon.

Lili got the last word in the exchange, writing "Whatever," alongside an apt gif of Barbie giving a sassy hair flick.

While as far as we know the couple don't actually have any immediate plans to become parents, the joke has been ongoing for a while now, with Lili branding Cole a 'daddy-wannabe' in 2017.

Something tells us this battle isn't over.
