As if the return of Pretty Little Liars hasn’t been dramatic enough so far, what with the murders and the inappropriate funeral outfits, there’s clearly still a LOT going on.

And because it wouldn’t be PLL without a veryhigh level of drama at all times, Melissa Hastings is set to make her triumphant return to the show very soon – and she always bring the cray.

Last week, we were lucky enough to chat to Troian Bellisario and the rest of the Liar Squad before the premiere of the latest (half) season, and naturally, we wanted ALL the goss we could get.

At the top of our list, along with some very important questions about Ezra Fitz’s upcoming screaming scene, was Melissa, and exactly what will be going down between her and Spencer after the flash forward.

We asked Troian what the dynamic between the sisters would be five years later, as well as whether or not Wren would be coming back to Rosewood too, and she told us:

“I WISH [Melissa] was bringing Wren back, we kept on kind of waiting for it but the unfortunately I don’t think it worked out… we would’ve loved to have him [back].

“But Melissa does come back and the dynamic between [her and Spencer] is still interesting, because she’s definitely with Wren which Spencer very much respects and is trying to be supportive of, but they’re still a little bit…

“They’re always going to be Spencer and Melissa. Their relationship, as close as it can be, can always be very tense.”

Wren fans, GET EXCITED – because surely this means that even though our favourite former A suspect won’t be on our screens, he’ll probably be casually name-checked at least once an episode.

Yep, we’ll take it.
