He told'The Sun'he was in tears following the loss, and said: "Initially, after the fight, I could not watch it back because I was that embarrassed. It looked like I went in there having never trained in my life."
"Iwas apologising to everyone backstage, while they were trying to tell me ‘well done’ because it was f***ing shocking," he added.
On top of dealing with anxiety following the loss, Aaron was sent disturbing messages on Twitter by trolls.
"I keep tabs on my social media accounts but I seem to always overlook the good and get drawn to the bad," he admitted.
He added: "I was getting messages saying ‘why don’t you just kill yourself?"
"But if I kill myself then who will these people have a go at? The people that send this sort of abuse, and it’s not just to me, have never had the guts to step in a gym in their lives and they probably never will."
Fortunately, Aaron can deal with the abuse: "I can handle the hate. I don’t mind being the villain and hearing out angry people get when they see me get in the ring."
While that'sall part of the spirit of the sport during the fight, there is definitely a line when it comes to social media.
Aaron will return to the cage on June 22 at Wembley Arena.
