This Cover Version Of Elle King's 'Ex's & Oh's' Will Blow You Away
And now for something a little different… If you haven't discovered the wonders ofScott Bradlee's Postmodern Jukebox on YouTube yet, forgive us, your entire day will now be spent watching their infectious, vintage-style song covers. #SorryNotSorry
There's a reason they have over 450 MILLION views on their channel and counting and it's their ability to shape tracks from any genre (their Radiohead 'Creep' cover is nearing 17 million views alone and their Miley Cyrus 'We Can't Stop' one isn't far behind)into sultry or top-tapping earworms.
Today, Scott's gathered a collective of over 50 performers and they're touring Europe for the third time, including two sell-out shows in London so, after seeing them live last year, we asked the globe trotting, YouTube superstars to come to MTV and take on Elle King's smash hit and you can watchthe amazing result above.
"It’s been amazing considering this started in my basement," Scott told us after the session."This was a group that I just formed and we started making YouTube videos but then the fans just gave it a life of its own and now this is our third time on tour in Europe and we’re playing the biggest venue yet – we’re playing The Roundhouse and we sold out, we did two shows there."
If you don't know what to expect from a Postmodern Jukebox show, Scott explained:"It's basically my YouTube channel come to life. At our shows we have a tap dancer, we have an MC, we have five/six vocalists, we have a full backing band and really the idea is it's a New Year's Eve party if you were back in the 1940s and you were hanging out with the Rat Pack - that's what a Postmodern Jukebox show is."
