Nashville certainly earns thetitle of Music City. It attracts a wide array of the world’s most iconic musicians, singers and songwriters.

From legends such as the king of rock ‘n’ roll, Elvis Presley, to modern-day superstars like Miley Cyrus, who’s set to return to her home state for Bonnaroo this summer. this city literally rocks!

The lowdown on Bonnaroo Festival

One of the biggest music festivals in all of the United States, Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival is a four-day celebration of arts and culture taking place once a year. Past headlinersincludehuge names such as Cardi B and Childish Gambino, as well as performances by late young Juice Wrld.

The impressively massive festival invites attendees to camp across a large farm just south of Nashville. It accommodates over 100,000 guests spread across the farm the size of an entire town.

Talent from all over the world takes a large variety of Bonnaroo stages to put on these mind-blowing shows. A particular international stand-out forwas the Mercury Award nominee Little Simz who absolutely dominated herperformancein 2019. The 24-year-old British rapper sent the crowd into a frenzy with back to back bops. It’s safe to say she repped North London and did her home proud!

The headliners of the 2019 festival were undoubtedly some of the best we’ve ever seen.

The multi-talented legend that is Childish Gambino merged his incredible vocals and smooth raps together and the entire crowd were simply in awe.

He opened his set by telling the audience to put their phones away because he was going to “take y’all to church”, and to be honest, ourspirit still feels cleansed.

Good old Post Malone killed it as per usual too! He pulled out all the stops, from an acoustic performance of Stay, to a chilling and emotional performance of his hit Sunflower that literally had fans in tears. Congratulations Posty, you killed it!

Most impressively, rap queen Cardi B managed to surprise everyone with her attendance at the festival. Despite already being confirmed to take the stage on the final day of the festival, there was massive speculation that she would not attend due to still recovering from surgery.

She dropped out of several shows on the build-up to Bonnaroo, but 'roo-ers' were incredibly lucky as the Bodak Yellow artist exploded on stage in a cute dressing gown.

In true Cardi fashion that dressing gown did not stay on for long, as stripped down to reveal her mind-boggling figure and later switched into an outfit a little more form-flattering. From that point on it was a pure Cardi invasion, and we speak for the entire crowd when wesay, 'I liked it like that!'

If you’re a fan of some live country music then have a look at Station Inn. This cute bar offers delicious drinks and it’s warm and cosy aesthetic will make you want to hang out there all night.

It’s famous for its excellent live music shows, and is often attended by celebrities in the audience including acting legend Bill Murray.
