There's some bad news for anyone who's spent the summer perfecting that 3x3 grid as apparently Instagram are thinking about shaking things up.

While there's thankfully no confirmation on this just yet, it's thought that Insta might be considering changing the grid size to include not three but FOUR columns.

So yeah, that perfectly colour coordinated grid you've been working on is about to look a right old mess.

It should be noted that there is no word on when and if this is even set to be rolled out, but according to The Ringer, some users have noticed the 4x4 grid appearing on their profiles and basically messing up their mosaics.

Sorry Nicky, but really the biggest issue here is that you have a notification you haven't clicked on. CLICK IT ALREADY.

Anyway, naturally a fair few perfectionists are pretty unimpressed about this change and have been taking to Twitter to have a *vent*.

Clearly not everyone's happy, but to be fair, the internet community is never exactly over the moon about change to our well-loved (and much relied upon) apps.
