Harry Styles appeared to steal Liam Payne and Cheryl’s thunder with a shock album release announcement just minutes after they announced the arrival of their first child.

The 23-year-old One Direction superstar stunned fans when he suggested his debut solo album would be out in just two weeks time.

Within seconds of Cheryl, 33, and Liam, 23, annoucing on Instagram that they were parents,fans felt a second huge announcement was imminent as Harry updated his Instagram for the first time in six months with three blank spaces.

And then, during an ad break on The Voice, Harry teased his debut album – with a release date of April 7 being revealed.

The sound of a piano could be heard while a wet clothed man made his way towards an open door.

Stepping into blinding lights, the unmistakable eyes of Harryappeared on screen with the simple titled: “April 7”.

While it is not clear if this signals just the first single or an entire album it was enough for fans to be thrown into a wild frenzy of excitement.

The blank panels on his instagram quickly amassed over 1.5 million likes – and a hashtag in relation to Harry quickly overtook the news of Chery and Liam’s baby on Twitter’s worldwide trend.

“Your advert is everything. I can’t wait for the 7th April I love yooouu,” one of many excited Styles fans wrote on Twitter.

Meanwhile #HS1isComing quickly knocked #congratsliamandcheryl off the top trending hashtag.
