Lady Gaga Returns To Number 1 With ‘A Star Is Born’ Soundtrack
Lady Gaga is back at the top - where she belongs - this week thanks to the 'A Star Is Born' soundtrack.
The Oscar-tipped soundtrack has debuted at Number 1 on the Official Albums Chart this week, as Gaga and Bradley Cooper’s blockbuster buzz beat out twenty one pilots’ fifth album 'Trench'.
Including ‘Shallow’ - which enters the Official Singles Chart at Number 6 - and the utterly incredible ‘I’ll Never Love Again’, the soundtrack features 19 brand new songs performed by Gaga and Cooper, along with some clips of pivotal scenes.
Gaga fans who are waiting for her new album are treated to some new pop gems from the 'Judas' singer, including quick fan favourites 'Hair Body Face' and 'Why Did You Do That?', meanwhile the gut-wrenching ballads are gaining comparisons to Whitney Houston's turn on 'The Bodyguard' soundtrack.
‘A Star Is Born’ now becomes the pop superstar’s fourth UK Number 1 album and her first in five years, after 'Artpop' debuted at the top spot in 2013.
twenty one pilots land at Number 2, making Trench their highest-charting album in the UK to date. Elsewhere, The Greatest Showman shows no signs of slowing down at Number 4 and Eminem rounds out the Top 5 with his latest LP Kamikaze.
A singer! A songwriter! A movie star! Congratulations, Gaga!
