Star-Studded Band Aid 30 Top UK Singles Chart
Band Aid 30 have taken the top spot of this week’s Official UK Singles Chart with the re-versionedDo They Know It's Christmas.
The star-studded collective of music’s biggest names including One Direction, Ed Sheeran, Rita Ora and Ellie Goulding came together as part of Sir Bob Geldof’s project to raise money for the Ebola crisis in West Africa.
Clean Bandit and Jess Glynne reach No 2 with their new track Real Love, as Olly Murs’ collaboration with Travie McCoy, Wrapped Up, comes in at No 3.
Ed Sheeran’s Thinking Out Loud falls two places to No 4 this week, as David Guetta completes the top 5 with the latest single from his new album, Listen:Dangerous, featuring Sam Martin.
Last week’s chart-topping charity single, Wake Me Up by Gareth Malone’s All-Star Choir falls six places to No 7.
Meanwhile over in the Official UK Albums Chart, One Direction have taken the top spot with their fourth studio album, Four.
At No 2 is Ed Sheeran’s sophomore effort, X, which spends its tenth week in the top 10, while Sam Smith’s In The Lonely Hour climbs up one place to No 3.
Last week’s No 1 from Pink Floyd, The Endless River, falls three places to No 4, as the Foo Fighters’ Sonic Highways rounds out the top 5, slipping three places.
