Iggy Azalea has revealed she was once catfished… by her own mother!

With the new series of Catfish: The TV Showset to return to MTV tonight (March 2), the Fancy hitmaker has revealed her mum once fooled her on Twitter by setting up a fake profile...posing as a super fan.

The 24-year old made the confession when asked what her mum thought about her haters online, leaving Iggy to tellPower 106's The Cruz Show: “She's been like catfishing, I know that for sure.

[related]“There was this one fan and I'm like 'oh I like this fan, this fan's cool, I'm going to add them' and then she texted me and was like 'um, you know I'm Azalean for Life, right? That's me.'"

She continued: “And I was like 'Oh my God, I'm friends with my mother...by accident...this is SO lame!"

In the same interview, Azalea went on to address why she recently made the decision to quit Twitter, also revealing what her boyfriend Nick Young made of the whole episode.
