Taylor Swift has revealed that she hasn't properly dated anyone since splitting with One Direction heartthrob Harry Styles.

The Shake It Off singer - who is said to have parted ways with Hazza following a heated row on holiday in January 2013 - also told Rolling Stone magazine she finds it hard to find the perfect man.

"Seventy percent of the time, when a guy asks me out, it'll just be a random e-mail."

While the 24-year old remained coy about her failed romance with the Story Of My Life singer, she did tell the publication that they are now on friendly terms.

T-Swizzle also suggested that a number of tracks on her new album 1989 are related to Harry, especiallyOut of the Woods.

The track features the lyrics: "Remember when you hit the brakes too soon, / Twenty stitches in a hospital room", which apparently refers to her ex losing control of a snowmobile, landing them in hospital for minor injuries.

1989 - which took Taylor two years to complete - is due for release on October 27.
