Ed Sheeran has FINALLY returned to our lives via social media, exactly one year on from him telling everyone he's 'going on a break for a while.'

Is it just us or has this been a long 365 days?

Across all of his social accounts the singer has simply posted a blue square, as in just a plain old blue shape with no words or pictures or a-n-y-thing.

So we hate to tell you this, but he's seemingly gone down the mysterious route where we get literally zero information and have to just keep on guessing.

But seeing as his last post explained that his third album is 'on its way' and that he'll 'see you all next autumn' we're going to go with new music being released IMMINENTLY.

Isn't that exciting?
