Camila Cabello Advises Fans Not to Be Afraid of Their Emotions
Camila Cabello is talking in the depth about her debut solo album.
In a recent interview with theBBCthe former Fifth Harmony member discussed the writing process of ‘Crying in the Club’ and her debut solo album ‘The Hurting. The Healing. The Loving.’.
Camilla went in on what the experience of making an album taught her, how she struggled to write about pain and what she wants her fans to be able take from it.
"[I] was in the kind of pain that's uncomfortable to talk about, and it was the kind of chapter you never want to read out loud. [I] was making music about everything BUT what I was going through. It was like a secret burning on my tongue and for some reason I could not get myself to say it."
Oh no - Camila!
"This process has taught me not to be afraid to feel. Feeling sad is a part of life. Grief is a part of life. Heartbreak is a part of life, just as much as falling in love is a part of life. And it doesn't necessarily mean that those emotions are bad. They are just as necessary as the happy ones. And so don't be afraid of them – welcome them, let them in. Because as soon as you accept it, talk about it, accept that it's happening, the sooner you'll be able to move on from it."
Wow – she really is wise beyond her years. We CANNOT wait to hear the album now.
‘The Hurting. The Healing. The Loving.’ is out this September.
