A tweet from the rapper says: “It's true. RECOVERY goes on-sale Monday, 6/21 now.”
Eminem’s label boss Steve Berman defended the decision not to rush release the record this week, saying: “We believe fans want to support their favorite artists by purchasing the real album and not a leaked version.”
The album features the single Not Afraid and duets with Pink, Rihanna and Lil Wayne.
Shady was originally scheduled to release Relapse 2 but scrapped those plans and announced Recovery.
The album features beats by producers including Boi 1da, DJ Khalil, Jim Jonsin and Just Blaze.
