Zayn Malik Sets The Record Straight On Rumoured Aladdin Duet With Selena Gomez
Zayn Malik has had his say on those reports that he and Selena Gomez are secretly working together for the Aladdin soundtrack and it turns out the rumours have absolutely no basis in truth.
The speculation all kicked off after a Selena Gomez fan account with 100,000 followers suggested that the duo could be working on a project for the Disney adaption starringNaomi Scott,Will Smith, andMena Massoud.
'Let's get checking out an update from MTV News...'
At the time, the account posted a tweet that gained a lot of traction reading: “It is RUMORED that Selena Gomez and Zayn Malik are featured on a duet for the upcoming Disney movie “Aladdin”. Nothing has been confirmed by either of their teams.”
Fans naturally lost their minds over the concept of potential duet, but it sounds like our hopes of the pair actually landing a song on the soundtrackare about as futile as Jafar’s attempts to achieve world domination.
In a video posted to YouTube, Zayn can be heard responding to a fan’s question about whether the Selena collab is legit or not, with the Pillowtalk singer crushing everyone's dreams in five short words.
“No, it’s not man, sorry,” he revealed.
The movie isn’t set to come out until May 2019, which means there’s still a bit of time for producers to see the potential in a Selena/Zayn collab and get the ball rolling on a genuinely epic soundtrack.
