She may be the world’s biggest popstar, but this doesn’t mean Taylor Swift is immune from TOTALLY FREAKING OUT when meeting her idols.

Which is exactly what happened when she finally met Rihanna backstage a Coachella this weekend, even sharing a hug with her.

In a video taken by a fan, the 25-year-old ‘New Romantics’ chanteuse couldn’t contain her sheer joy at meeting RiRi, exclaiming as they pulled away from their embrace: “That was the craziest thing. Oh my God.”

We feel you, bbz.

Taylor previously tweeted a video of herself at the festival as Rihanna joined Calvin Harris on stage, stating the moment as ‘so incredible’.

The hug also lays to rest any rumours that the two ladies aren’t exactly the best of friends.

Rihanna, who is very close with Tay’s nemesis Katy Perry, previously stated that she wouldn’t ever consider joining her on stage because they are so different.

She explained to NME: “I don’t think I would. I just don’t think it makes sense.

“I don’t think our brands are the same. I don’t think they match.

“I don’t think our audiences are the same. In my mind, she’s a role model, I’m not.'”

Well, the hug certainly a step in the right direction.
