When he's not dissing the likes of Lana Del Rey and Iggy Azalea on his music, it turns out that Eminem is a big softie at heart.

TMZ has reported that Slim Shady answered the wish of terminally ill fanGage Garmo,by visiting him at his home in Michigan.

[related]Gage - who was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma, a rare form of bone cancer - was told he had only one week to live.

Three days ago, his friends and family took to Twitter to reach out to Em, starting the hashtag #GetGageGarmoToMeetEminem in a bid for Garmo to meet his hero… and his prayers were answered.

A source told the website that the Rap God flew from Atlanta after arranging a visit to the 17-year old's home - but arrived quietly and without a fuss as he didn't want the trip to become a media spectacle.

It is thought he visited the teenager on Sunday (January 11) at 5pm and stayed for an hour, with the pair talking and hanging out.

TMZ adds that the visit meant the world to Gage, who sadly lost his battle with the disease on Monday (January 12) - four days before his 18th birthday on Friday (January 16).

Eminem is yet to comment on his passing.
