Dua Lipa is starting the new year off less so with a bang and more living theisland lifewriting bangers.

The 'New Rules' singer has just shaken up our social media timelines with the major announcement that she has begun work on her second album.

Just eight months after her self-titled debut was finally released to the world after several delays, projectDL2 is officially underway.

Dua posted a stunning photo of the sea and trees - is she living in a forest? - in Jamaica to reveal that she will be shacked up there for the forseeable future to make some new music.

"If you need me i’ll be here for a couple of weeks," she said."I feel so lucky to have woken up in paradise with some of my favourite people that I love working with to start writing for my next album."

NEXT! ALBUM! There it is, before the ever-humble star expressed her gratitude, saying "So grateful and so thankful to get to do this as my job."

Although'Dua Lipa'was only released last June, she had written many of the songs on the album in 2015 and 2016, including the lead single 'Be The One'.

With 'IDGAF' chosen as the next single and a three-month world tour starting on January 30, it might be a while until we hear anything newbut it's still very exciting news.
