Zooey Deschanel is already having quite the year, as it's now revealed the New Girl actress is engaged to Jacob Pechenik, a rep confirmed to US Weekly.

The star and her fiancée only announced that they were expecting their first child together last week, so it comes as no surprise that they're keen to tie the knot.

Jacob and Zooey first stepped out together back in August 2014, after her split from screenwriter Jamie Linden, whom she was with for two years.

This isn't Zooey's first marriage, she was previously married to Death Cab for Cutie singer Ben Gibbard; though they parted three years ago in 2012.
