SiCo 'Wants Dannii AND Cheryl Back On X Factor'
Simon Cowell is reported to be approaching Dannii Minogue about a return to The X Factor's judging panel next year - [uuid=5480d608-9f29-4056-a969-c92b6e69b692]alongside himself and Cheryl Cole[/uuid].
The Sun newspaper claims that SiCo is keen to reunite the show's "classic" judging panel from 2010 - and reckons he has also asked Louis Walsh to stay on.
The reality TV mogul was last week [uuid=a45dbe22-5eae-40a9-81eb-23efdcb654d3]reported to be preparing to step down[/uuid] from the US version of the show following a slump in ratings.
A source told the paper: "The feeling is that 2010 was the show's peak because it was the best possible judging line-up — and imagine the tension on that panel now.
"Simon knows pairing him with Dannii and Cheryl, while keeping his old mate Louis Walsh to spar with, is a blockbuster combination."
Cowell was famously revealed to have enjoyed an affair with Dannii when they worked together. She now works on the Aussie version of the show.
Meanwhile the new "Flash Vote" was suspended from last night's Disco Week episode, with the official excuse being that Chic's medley of hits did not leave enough time for it.
But the new mechanism has been controversial with viewers - and famous fan James Corden last week [uuid=d45f6749-7f77-4f45-a38a-3fd156071ed9]slammed it as "bulls**t"[/uuid].
Both acts on the sing-off will now be revealed by host Dermot O'Leary this evening.
A spokesperson said: "As tonight's show featured an opening performance by Nile Rodgers and Chic there wasn't time in the show's current length to feature the Flash Vote as well.
"The Flash Vote is currently being rested, the Live Show has always had a number of innovations and changes from wildcards and double eliminations to keep things interesting for viewers."
