Usher will make his return to the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards live from the Forum in Inglewood, California on Sunday, August 24.

A VMA mainstay, the R&B smoothie has delivered some of the show’s most memorable performances including 2010’s stunning combo of OMG and DJ Got Us Fallin’ in Love and 2004’s mashup of Confessions and Yeah, featuring Ludacris and Lil Jon.

And, if being entertained by the Good Kisser singer wasn't enough, MTV can also reveal that Aussie pop-rockers 5 Seconds Of Summer are also set to grace the VMA stage for the first time.

Speaking of their involvement, the Don't Stop band stated: "Can't wait to play the VMAs this year. It’s a huge honour and we always love coming over to the States. We can't wait to play on such a big stage!”
