Nicki Minaj quite rightfully won the VMA for Best Hip Hop video tonight (August 31), and having already buried one hatchet we figured she might address her and Miley Cyrus' beef in her acceptance speech.

Erm, well, that kind of happened.

Having thanked her pastor and her fans, Nicki then turnedto Miley and said:

"Now, back to this b*tch who had a lot to say about me the other day in the press. Miley, what's good?"

Cue a cheeky smile from Nicki, before she quickly got her game face back on which made us want to hide under our desk.

Miley responded: "Hey we're all in this industry, we do interviews and we all know how they manipulate. Nicki, congratulations."

In case you'd forgotten, Miley had previously said Nicki wasn't a "very polite person" in an interview.

Nick then tweeted this:

Soo did that really just happen? Was it all a joke? That smile from Nicki and all those emojis haveus thinking she's just playing... Maybe.
