Travis Scott finally blessed us with his looooong-awaited third soloalbum'Astroworld' last week and it's HUGE, with features across the board from Drake toFrank Ocean.
One track that particularly stood out to us was 'STOP TRYING TO BE GOD', not only for it's provocative themes but also for the mind-blowing features fromKid Cudi, James Blake, posthumous Stevie Wonder on harmonica and Earth, Wind & Fire’s Phillip Bailey too.
'WATCH TRAVIS SCOTT'S 'STOP TRYING TO BE GOD' VIDEO HERE:'
Now, the first of the'Astroworld 'music videos has arrived - and we're starting with the track 'STOP TRYING TO BE GOD' which has got some visual treats as well as some special cameo surprises in store for us!
As always Travis has given this music video his ALL - it's mesmerising and such a spectacle to watch.
The brand-new music video continues Travis' recurring psychedelic themes but with a big dose of biblical references - from the herding of the sheep, to La Flame delivering a baptism of sorts, and even to the presence of God in the sky.
Plus, in a complete surprise itfeatures Scott's partner Kylie Jenner playing the role of what seems to be the Virgin Mary! James Blake appears at the end just before too.. is he one of the three wise men? Are we overthinking this?
If none of that is enough to draw you in - there's a scene featuring Travis Scott riding some sort of flying demon-dragon creature as it spits fire onto the world.. before he's destroyed by God's laser beam eyes! You can't make this stuff up!
Even moreso, the scene with the flying creature looks like a shot-for-shot remake of that bit in The Neverending Story with Falkor the flying dog looking thing!! Not kidding - go google it and then watch the video below and tell us you don't see it too.
...it IS basically nightmare Falkor though right? RIGHT?
Anyway, whilst Travis is saying stop trying to be god – Ariana is saying 'God is aWoman'… but what’s up with those screaming beavers?
