The nominees for the BRIT Awards 2005 have been announced.
Public voting for many categories, including the British Urban Act as chosen by MTV Base viewers, opens on Tuesday January 18. The 25th anniversary of the BRIT Awards will take place at London's Earls Court 2 on February 9.
Leaders of the pack this year are Franz Ferdinand with five nominations, while Muse follow with four.
