This week Teen Mom OG star Maci Bookout posted a picture to Instagram and it’s really whipped up an internet frenzy. Why? Because it reveals new mum Maci has been… drinking a beer. Gasp.

Maci’s third baby was born on May 31st, and thanks to one photo of a couple of beers, she’s now facing criticism from people who are suggesting she shouldn’t be drinking or heading out partying so soon after giving birth.

Commenters on Instagram have attackedMaci, calling her an ‘alcoholic’, and complaining thatdrinking beer is bad for babies if you’re breastfeeding a newborn.

But those guys just srsly need to get with the program;Maci has spoken out both on the show and at her University about how she doesn’t like the idea of breastfeeding, and it's just not for her. Which, by the way, is totally fine. There’s no room for shaming here.

Plus, even if she is breastfeeding and chose to have a beer, it’s not our place to judge or get involved. The main thing is that Maci and baby Maverick are happy and healthy.

It’s not all been disapproval though – fans have been coming forward to defend Maci, telling her not to listen to haters who judge her parenting skills by just one picture, and they’ve been sharing their own stories of motherhood in support.

One commented, ”don’t worry about what anyone says! If you want to have a beer then have one… I have a 4 month old son and all I wanted to do is feel normal again. You are such a great mom and deserve some fun!”

To sum things up: Maci’s not pregnant any more, she’s not harming her baby; she just has a social life and a beer once in a while. In fact, the other beer was for her fiancé and father of two of her children, Taylor McKinney.
