She's had her share of famous boyfriends - and has written songs about a few of them to boot.

But Taylor Swift has insisted that she's just not bothered that her love life is a Blank Space right now.

Speaking to E! News, she was asked if she'd deliberately sworn off of dating.

"It's not that as much as I'm just very protective of my happiness," she replied.

"I found a place in my life that feels really great and I'm not willing to compromise that for just anyone, and so, you can paraphrase that all you want into something very extreme, but they make what I say extreme no matter what I say.

"So I'm really happy about the fact that being single doesn't feel like being alone. I have love in my life, I just don't have a relationship, and that feels really natural right now."

Asked about the public fascination with who her songs might be about - T-Swizzle vowed to keep on putting it all out there.

"It's so interesting that my songwriting method has not changed, the formula hasn't changed, but just the way the rest of the world views me has changed.

"So it's the same thing as me sitting in class when I was 15 and writing a song about an issue I had or a crush or a disappointment. It's just now I'm not sitting in class now, I'm on a plane across the world, but I'm still writing about my life and I swore to my fans I wouldn't change that, and I'm not going to."
