Joe Alwyn has opened up about his relationship with Taylor Swift and effectively managed to say very little in very few words.

The actor gave an interview to GQ where he reiterated that his private life is off limits to the public and pointed out that he and his girlfriend are perfectly entitled to keep their romance on the DL for as long as they want.

"Someone’s private life is, by definition, private. No one is obliged to share their personal life,” he argued, before going into detail about those matching cactus photos that fans claimed were the moment the pair became Instagram official.

When questioned about whether those images were a deliberate move, Joe responded: "No. I didn’t even think of that until I was in New York and someone else mentioned it. No, no [it wasn't on purpose]! It wasn’t purposeful at all!”

The 27-year-old went on to confirm that he’s still living in North London but added that his base is no longer at his parents’ place: “I still go there,” he explained, before confirming that he wouldn’t say “exactly where” his current location is.

Things got particularly coy when the interviewer questioned him about his favourite Taylor Swift song: "I’m just not even going to go into that side of the world," he answered.

This comes as Taylor took to Instagram to give her BF a cute shout-out on his upcoming movie: "The Favourite is absolutely phenomenal, and it opens in NY and LA tomorrow— Swipe to see cities and dates! @thefavouritemovie @joe.alwyn @nicholashoult"
