Unfamiliar with Brand New For 2015 nomineesSunset Sons' music? A bandwho began life as a cover band and started dropping original material into their sets to gauge reactions, we got the guys to tell you themselves how they view their sound...

"We write pop songs but play them in quite a heavy manor," Rob said."We don't really come across as a pop band but really that's kind of what we're doing. We've been playing really cool pop covers in the covers band so that's how we write and it's pretty rocking as well."

"There's not much of a story," behind their name, Jed revealed."The truth is we had two bands, our cover band which is what we were doing so we could eat (!) and then we had the real band if you want which is where we're trying to be creative and I just thought we should have a name that made us sound like a gang.

"So I had Sunset and lots of other words and we thought Sunset Sons just sounded cool and what we're about."

Rob added:"We didn't want to dwell on it too much, we thought we'll make what we make of the name and just get one that makes sense and stick with it and carry on."

"You never wanna over think something like that…even though we did a little bit!" Rory quipped.

Rob: "It was a stressful week that."
