Star Wars Stormtrooper Actor Hits Back At Racist Critics
Of all the exciting things that came out of last Friday's amazing teaser trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens - the fact that the stormtrooper in the opening scene was black barely registered for most of us.
However a small segment of the online audience took issue with British actor John Boyega's selection for the role, with claims made that the casting was "inaccurate" within the franchise.
But the 22-year-old star of Attack The Block has kept his response to the thinly veiled racism as classy as possible - while at the same time putting the haters firmly in their place.
He posted a message on Instagram which read: "Thank you for all the love and support! The fan mail and the fan art has added to my joy!
"Isn't it crazy that Star Wars is actually happening? I'm in the movie but as a Star Wars fan I am very excited.
"A year is long time to wait but it will be worth the wait."
And he signed off: "To whom it may concern... Get used to it."
Now can we please get back to discussing the X-Wings, the Millennium Falcon and 'that' lightsaber?
