If you thought makeup was just for girls then you could not be more wrong. Not only is makeup for guys all over the runway right now, but singer Shawn Mendes has been bringing a dose of realness to proceedings andhaving a chat about how it's totally normal for guys to wear beauty products to give their skin a flawless finish.

Just like the rest ofus, Shawn's not immune to a breakout and has revealed that it was close pal Camila Cabello who helped him have the confidence to wear foundation when he's not feeling so keen about going natural up on stage or on camera.

Male actors and singers wearing makeupis no new thing and just like with the gals, itprobably explains at least half of why they are always looking like they have faces made from unicorn tears.

Still, Shawn wasn't quite convinced trying makeup atfirst,but has totally seen the light and now countsfoundation and concealer as his number oneskincare saviour.

“When I was 17, my skin was hittin’ that puberty moment," he explained during an interview on the Kidd Kraddick Show.“I’m going to let you guys in on a little thing. I can’t even believe I’m talking about this right now.

“I dohave pimples on my skin - but if you look closely, there’s makeup on there.”

And guess what? It's not a makeup artist that he gets to do this and Shawn actually has some skills of his own in theapplication department.

“I put that makeup on MYSELF," he added.“The problem is...I mean, I don’t want guys to be like, 'That guy’s weird. Why does he put makeup on himself.'

“I had to ask Camila. Is this cool? Does this look alright? She said it looks fine, and I was like, 'Alright!'.

"But it sucks to see a volcano jumping out. That was my secret. I probably shouldn’t have said that," he added.

Well you're looking super fine to us Shawn andif you want to come round for some practice, our face is 100% available, just FYI.
