Selena Gomez has praised Grammy winning singer Lorde - despite adding she believes the the Kiwi star "doesn't really like" her.

The Royals singer previously dissed Gomez over the lyrical content of her song Come & Get It, with Lorde saying: "I love pop music on a sonic level. But I’m a feminist and the theme of her song is, ‘When you’re ready come and get it from me.’ I’m sick of women being portrayed this way.”

She later told MTV News US: "I have pretty strong morals and opinions being in pop music, and I can't help but express those, which I think people appreciate.

"I mean, I don't think I say anything that isn't backed up. Most of the time I will stand by things that I've said."

After hitting back saying she "appreciated" Lorde's opinion, Sel has now told Seventeen's Power issue that she's still a massive fan of the 17-year old star.

Gomez said: "There is one artist that I think is very powerful. She doesn't really like me, but that's all right. Her name's Lorde and she's really cool.

"I mean, I do think her message is very powerful. She's very young but she's got a lot to say and that's great, so more power to her."
