The break between Anti and Rihanna’s ninth album is almost as long as the wait was between the last two, however it looks like that wait is *almost* ova.

Rumours have been swirling about Rih’s ninth outing for a long time now, with new reports popping up every few months about the “hundreds of songs” on the table or supposed timelines.

However, throughout it all the superstar has kept quiet, letting fans’ patience run dry without saying a word to give them even the slightest bit of hope.

Now she’s starting to fuel the fire to let her die-hard Navy know that music is indeed on its way, posting several pictures to her Instagram from the studio yesterday.

Turning her bedroom into a makeshift studio, the ‘Wild Thoughts’ singer posted a photo, boomerang and video (muted!) to her Instagram Stories, generously giving fans #content in every easily digestible format just to tease them.

It’s been over two and a half years since she released Anti, the critically acclaimed album that gave us the timeless anthems ‘Work’, ‘Needed Me’ and the criminally underrated ‘Kiss It Better’.

In that time she has given us many collaborations including the brilliant ‘This Is What You Came For’ that saw her reunite with Calvin Harris years after they took over the world with ‘We Found Love’.

We have no idea what to expect from the Fenty Beauty queen in terms of sound this time round as she always switches things up, although recent reports stated that she’s going full-on dancehall.

Whatever she brings to the table, we know it’ll be phenomenal as she isn’t the biggest star in the world for nothing.
